I was wondering if anyone could help me with an interesting doll I found the other day. My friend was showing me the Kirsten doll she got when she was a young girl.
I noticed that written on the front of her on her chest was "#1132 Pleasant T. Rowland 1987." Is this a rare thing to find on the dolls? I have never seen it before but I never started collecting until the early 90's. If anyone could help me I would apreciate it. Thank you.

WHOA!!! I think your friend has a Kirsten signed by the company founder, Pleasant Rowland.
Tell her to SAFEGUARD her and treat her like gold!

Yes! This is a very rare doll. They are worth about $500 now. These were the 1st edition dolls signed by Pleasant Rowland when they first came out.
Hope this helps!

That is so cool! Kirsten is in pristeen condition too, her hat has never been removed. My friend was not a doll person and never played with the doll it has been stored in the trunk for years now.
She only took it out because I am so interested in the dolls and wanted to have a look at her. She is going to be astounded when I tell her how much it is worth!
